Zander's 8th Birthday

Zander was unexpectedly here in Utah for his 8th birthday and wanted to spend it with us!  We found out only a day or so beforehand so throwing together a party was a bit of a task.  

He wanted to do a BYU football themed party and with the help of Pinterest, we were able to pull through.  

Grandma Lorraine's Farm Summer 2013

One of our favorite parts of our annual summer trip to Cali is visiting Lorraine and her farm.  We love seeing all the animals and of course the Fredericks always come which makes the trip even better!

BYU Football

To say Lance gets excited for the BYU football season to start is an understatement.  He literally counts down the days and announces how many days are left daily.  It's so fun to see him enjoy something so much.  This season started off way better than the rest because Zander was here with us when they had their annual preseason scrimmage.  Lance was jumping up and down to be able to take his boy to a game.  

We started the festivities the night before by going to the BYU bookstore, which was a first for Zander, and letting him choose some goodies along with getting new BYU shirts and a football.  During the trip, Lance taught him all the main players and quizzed him afterwards. I love my boys!  

Despite the heat, Zander LOVED the game and being in the stadium.  I would definitely tag it as one of our many highlights of the summer.  

A little of this, a little of that

Our time with Zander has been nothing short of incredible.  We love this kid more than anything and have been having a blast.

We went to the new Provo splash pad with the Michalek family and Zander finally got to meet Kimball and Ireland.  Too bad I forgot to get pic with them.
