Back to School Night

So I just got back from doing Back to School Night. It was a great experience. This year is going to bring so many new experiences for me. I love being in this spot-the whole year ahead of me. I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't want to be a teacher. Since Kindergarten I have known that a teacher is what I would be when I grew up. I'm so grateful for that. Meeting my students made it all very real. They were all so excited and eager for second grade. It really made me realize the responsibility that I have. Being a teacher is such a big deal. I now have 25 + little people watching my every move and assuming what I do is 'right'. It puts a lot on my shoulders. But at the same time it makes me want to be better and do better. It gives me a purpose and I feel needed.

Boston July 2009

My friend Adam Cades, who I have known for a little over a year now, invited me to go to Boston with him back in July. I barely had the money to go, but how do you turn that down? You don't. I was there from July 2-July 9. It was awesome to be on the East Coast for the first time, and see what it's really like. I was went to a Boston Red Sox game, to the Boston Harbor for 4th of July and saw Neil Diamond perform, went to the Boston Temple, saw the New England Aquarium, and visited Rhode Island. I loved being there and I'm so grateful to those who helped make it possible. I took tons of pics, so here are a few of my favorites.
